An extract From A Visitor's
Guide to Cleobury Mortimer (and surrounding villages) through
the ages
Cleobury Mortimer is a market and union town.
It consists principally of one long street well supplied wit
hwater, from a spring, which falls into a public well, between
the Upper and Lower towns.
The church of the Virgin Mary is a venerable
fabric of rubble stone in the early english style. There are
several marble tablets and tombs within the church to the memory
of deceased members of the various families in the neighbourhood.
