At the T-junction in Whittington, cross over to park at Whittington Castle. A pleasant spot to stop for a while. Although partly in ruins, its original moat can still be traced. the castle has an interesting history as it was the home of Fulk Fitz warine, whi won his castle and his bride in a tournament.
